10 Years of Civic Voices Alumni

Congratulations to all of our Civic Voices Fellows, Class of 2022, in Dallas, Harris, and Tarrant counties! This incredible group of education advocates joins a distinguished, passionate, and dedicated alumni network impacting public education throughout our state.

We are so proud to have now sent out 10 years of fellowship cohorts into their communities to influence and affect change within our public school system. Our alumni hold leadership roles in their local school districts, business, nonprofits, faith communities, and government. As an organization, we have always believed that the enduring legacy of our work is not our programs themselves but the capacity we develop within communities to affect positive change for all kids.

To say it a different way, we build and support ecosystems of trust and accountability that lead to improved student outcomes by training leaders, building coalitions, and developing and supporting trustees - always with a racial equity lens and a student-centered mindset. As we reflect on this past school year and start planning for the next, our team is as excited, aligned, and focused on student outcomes as ever. And, with all of the challenges facing our public schools, we will be leaning on you, our amazing network, to join us in advocating loudly for students. Change is possible because of people like you!

Throwback: As with each of our cohorts, alumni from our Dallas Civic Voices, Class of 2017 (pictured above) continue to apply their Fellowship experience as they serve as educators, consultants, nonprofit professionals, business leaders, and school board trustees.
