Currently our work serves the 1.6 million public school students in Dallas, Tarrant, and Harris Counties— representing one third of the children who attend public school in Texas.

With a population of around 2.5 million, Dallas County is Texas' second-most populous county and the ninth-most populous county in the United States. Public schools in Dallas County serve over half a million students. The first class of Leadership ISD Dallas County Fellows graduated in 2012 and we have seen incredible transformation here over the years.

Tarrant County is Texas' third-most populous county with over 2 million residents--of whom 350,000 are public school students. The first class of Leadership ISD Tarrant County Fellows graduated in 2017. These Fellows are providing vision and support for the many new initiatives that are already showing early indicators of progress in this region.

The most populous county in Texas and the third-most populous in the country, Harris County is home to 4.6 million people including nearly 900,000 public school students. The first class of Leadership ISD Harris County Fellows graduated in 2018 and they are already serving in public office, leading coalitions, and creating a strong voice for equity.
