Dr. Arlene Ford (Dallas ‘19)

Founder/CEO, Equity Inquiry Project, Inc.

Dr. Arlene J. Ford is a thought leader and education change agent. She is an alumna of the 2019 Civic Voices Cohort and the founder of the Equity Inquiry Project Inc. where she works with educational institutions, nonprofits, and their leaders to build capacity around equity and inclusion. She brings a critical theoretical lens to her work in an effort to develop acuity and cultural competency around systemic issues. 

Previously, Arlene served as an Education Researcher & Professional Development Coach. She is currently an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University and speaks to a variety of institutions on issues of equity, inclusion, and diversity. 

Arlene received a doctorate degree in urban schooling from UCLA, a master’s degree in sociology and education from Teachers College Columbia University, a law degree from Harvard Law School, and a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University. Arlene enjoys traveling with her three children and husband.
