Celebrating Hispanic/Latin@/x Heritage Month
As National Hispanic/Latin@/x Heritage Month comes to a close, we want to magnify our Brown brothers and sisters, their stories and truths and remember to honor them beyond just a month!
We lean into the work of honoring our Hispanic/Latino/a/x friends, colleagues, neighbors, and community members. As Brave/R™ advocates, we know that a month cannot encompass the daily work needed to disrupt our power systems and that truly celebrating Brown lives would mean that everyday our community would be centered in liberation. This month (and beyond), we continue our work!
Take some time and reflect on the words associated with this month and unlearning some history. Learn about where the name came from, the differences between Hispanic and Latino/Latino, and the debate around the term Latinx.
