Alicia McGlinchey (Dallas ‘17), Board Vice Chair

Retired Attorney & Community Volunteer

Alicia McGlinchey is a former practicing attorney and long-time education advocate and community volunteer. She participated in Leadership ISD’s Dallas County Civic Voices Fellowship in 2017 and the inaugural class of the Brave/R Leadership Academy this year. Most recently, Alicia spent four years as the Director of Development at Teaching Trust in Dallas.

Alicia has broad experience serving on a variety of civic and non-profit boards and committees, including six years on the Bedford City Council. She’s been a board member for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Education Foundation since 2008, including four years as Board Chair. During her tenure, the foundation revamped its governance, processes, and financial controls, improved board engagement, enhanced its community profile, and significantly broadened its base of support. Alicia maintains strong ties with her alma mater, Georgetown University, as an alumni interviewer, a board member for the local DFW Alumni Club, and as the Texas Regional Coordinator for the Georgetown Scholars Program (GSP) serving low income and first generation students. 

Alicia completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and her Doctor of Law at the University of Texas. She and her husband Kevin raised their three children in the Mid-Cities area and are now empty nesters living in Dallas.
