Stephen Birch has an accomplished business career in both entrepreneurial endeavors and with Fortune 500 companies. His first aviation start-up grew to revenues of $350MM and was sold to a British conglomerate. From there, he spent nearly five years at General Electric within many operating businesses as a member of corporate headquarters. Mr. Birch then joined Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia prior to its NYSE offering. Returning to a startup medical device company, he successfully raised $20MM and took the company public, selling the business back to the original mezzanine investors after reaching revenue goals. He is currently the Managing Director for Flying Crown Land Group, an aviation real estate social enterprise, and serves on numerous charitable, public, and private company boards.
Mr. Birch earned his Commercial Multiengine Instrument pilot license, holds a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument rating, and has flown over 14,000 accident free flight hours in 25 years. He received his Bachelor of Science with a double major in Aviation Science and History (Secondary Education), a Masters in Aviation and Space both from Oklahoma State University, a Masters in Dispute Resolution from the Pepperdine School of Law Straus Institute, and is completing doctoral coursework in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University.
