Rhonda serves with the Excellent Initiatives Department of Dallas Independent School District. She is a native Floridian and served as a mathematics educator at the secondary and post-secondary levels for over fifteen years. Rhonda obtained her BS from Florida Atlantic University and MS from Northern Illinois University, both in pure mathematics. She recently earned a Ph.D. from the University of Florida in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Research Evaluation and Methodology. Her professional interest in education policy research was honed as she has served as an Education Pioneers Fellow at the George W. Bush Institute. Rhonda seeks to utilize her research and evaluation skills to affect education policy which focuses on equity for all students.
