Lisle Bull is a Senior Manager with the EMERGE program housed within the Houston Independent School District. In her role, she is responsible for the implementation and daily management of the program which serves over 750 high achieving students, across 42 high schools, who are from underserved communities, to aid them with successfully gaining acceptance to attend and matriculate through selective colleges and universities in the country. Lisle is passionate about combating the opportunity gap seen within college access. She started her career as a Houston Teach For America corps member, where she taught for Baker Ripley’s Promise Community Charter Schools. She also taught second grade in the Houston Independent School District. A native of Durham, NC, she received her Masters of Education, with a concentration in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and her Bachelor’s in Public Policy Analysis, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lisle is committed to serving her community and is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, an Education Pioneers alumna, and is involved in ministry at Windsor Village United Methodist Church.
