Kila serves as a Community Outreach Specialist in the Dallas area, with a focus on youth and family services. Originally from Dallas, she has been back for about 3 years, by way of Houston, her second home. She received her BA in Sociology with a minor in Social Work, as well as a MS in Juvenile Justice from the Prairie View A&M University. Currently beginning her second 5 year plan, Kila hopes to join the Peace Corps next summer, then continue onto law school to study Criminal Law and Educational Policy. Once completed, she wants to start a non-profit organization designed to help those victims of the justice system, by providing services and resources needed to empower and educate them into fulfilling and obtaining their own personal goals.
