Ira B. Perez is an associate attorney at the law firm of Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP. Her practice covers a broad range of transactional and business contract matters, including corporate and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and tax. Ira received her K-12 education in Fort Bend ISD in the southwest Houston area, her Bachelor of Arts in History, with High Honors, from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law. A proud product of these public schools, Ira is intimately aware of the value of public education. Seeking to pay it forward, she has served as an on-campus tutor for AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination, a college readiness program designed for students who will be the first in their families to attend college), as a substitute teacher, and as a school volunteer. Through the years, Ira has remained consistent in her commitment to ensuring that every student has equitable access to quality education, and her enthusiastic enrollment into the Civic Voices Fellowship is a significant step toward achieving that goal. Prior to her legal career, Ira was an accomplished musician and singer-songwriter, with past performances that include an NBA Playoff Game.
