Darlene Breaux is the director of the Research and Evaluation Institute for the Harris County Department of Education. She and her husband have raised three children who are the inspiration behind her fierce advocacy, passion for equity and belief that a quality education is a civil right. These convictions have led her to be spotlighted by the Texas Association of School Administrators in the Texas School Business Journal as a Thought Leader and Innovator in Education. She has over 20 years of service in education and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for Alief ISD. Prior to perusing her doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Abilene Christian University, Darlene received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Texas Southern University and a Master’s of Science in Educational Management at the University of Houston Clear Lake.
