Danyell Wells is the Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement for the Cedar Hill Independent School District, where she strives to bridge the gap between the community, families, and education. Prior to joining CHISD, Danyell was the Dallas Independent School District’s coordinator of intergovernmental affairs and community relations, maintaining a line of communication between DISD, major community groups and stakeholders.
She is currently the recruitment chair for the Dallas Big Leaders Board of Young Professionals through Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as an active Big Sister. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she has held various leadership roles. With a true servant’s heart Danyell’s passion lies in helping others to reach their highest level of success through mentoring, feedback, and support. She truly believes and stands behind the notion that when given access to equitable resources in public education children have the ability to achieve anything they could ever dream. Wells holds two master degrees: one in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi, and another in criminology and justice services from Jackson State University.
