Carla Hearl Morton is a pediatric and developmental neuropsychologist at Cook Children’s Medical Center. Carla grew up the Appalachian region of Virginia and is a first generation college graduate. After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Radford University, she worked with adult and geriatric psychiatry patients as a board-certified music therapist. Carla lived in Chicago for approximately 10 years and obtained her master’s and PhD degrees in clinical psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She also completed a doctoral internship in neuropsychology at Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at University of Illinois at Chicago before moving to Texas in 2010. Carla has two children who currently attend elementary school in the Fort Worth ISD.
