Bryan Berens is the Manager of Data and Design for Dallas ISD’s Human Capital Management department. In that capacity, he leads a team tasked with analyzing various data sources to inform strategic decision-making and building tools to support the identification, evaluation, and development of instructional talent at scale. A native Arizonan and University of Arizona alumnus, Berens taught at a middle school in South Phoenix and completed a fellowship with the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools before joining Dallas ISD as the Design Coordinator in 2014. Berens has worked on a variety of major initiatives since joining the District, including teacher recruitment and selection, Personalized Learning, and multiple employee performance management programs. Bryan is extremely passionate about educational equity and hopes to leverage his skills and energy to support the work of campus, classroom, and community leaders throughout Dallas.
