Brenda Allen currently serves as the Community Relations Coordinator for the Office of the Mayor at the City of Dallas. She is a second-generation Mexican American, who is deeply passionate about diversity, equity and equal opportunity to quality public education for all children. Brenda is pursuing a Master of Public Administration, with a Certificate in Public Budgeting and Financial Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Environmental Studies & Sustainability from UTA. During her undergraduate work she studied abroad in Austria, Germany, Mexico & Costa Rica and was a former Study Abroad Ambassador. She is an active member of the American Society for Public Administration, Hispanic Association of City Employees for Results (HACER), Texas City Management Association and the Sam Houston High School Alumni Association. Brenda’s hometown is Arlington, Texas but she calls Dallas home. She resides in Oak Cliff with her husband and three-year-old daughter.
