Empowering people to reach their full potential is at the core of everything that April Bowman, M.S. does which is what motivated her to start her own business, Bold Believers United. Through her company she provides educational consulting services, professional development, coaching, curriculum design, motivational speaking and youth empowerment programs locally and nationally. April was the first person in her family to graduate from college which drives her commitment to ensuring that young people from low income communities of color have access to a quality education as well as the tools needed to be successful. She earned a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University in Learning and Organizational Change and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Washington in Sociology and Geography as well as a license in Christian ministry from the Potter’s House School of Ministry under the leadership of Bishop T.D. Jakes. April has worked within the field of education for thirteen years and has impacted the lives of over 20,000 young people across the country. Additionally, April serves a mentor for the 282nd Dallas County Court Empowerment Program, Young Alumni Chair for Northwestern University’s DFW Club, core team member for Closing the Gap Spiritual Enrichment Program, a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and is an alumna of the Education Pioneer Fellowship Program and the Mayor Star Council.
