Aicha is a Research Assistant and Superintendency candidate with the University of North Texas. Her studies focus on innovative educational programs for students in poverty. She formerly taught secondary STEM courses, including AP physics, mechanical engineering, and robotics, and served as an Instructional Coordinator with DeSoto ISD. She also studies Spanish language and culture abroad each year. Aicha began teaching in Baton Rouge to help children displaced there by Hurricane Katrina, and her passion for STEM education has grown each year. She is proudly from Decatur, Mississippi.
