Greg Gomez serves as Program Director for Harris County. Prior to joining Leadership ISD, he served as the principal of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Houston’s Kashmere Gardens. He previously served as a faculty member at Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory, where he taught biology and coordinated professional development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and began his career in education as a member of Notre Dame’s ACE Teaching Fellows. As a Teaching Fellow he taught middle school science and religion at St. Malachy School in South Los Angeles while completing a Master of Education from The University of Notre Dame. He later served as vice principal at Dolores Mission, a school in East Los Angeles. Before moving back to Texas, he studied developmental psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where his graduate work involved helping Rikers Island inmates become published authors.
